Floresta Inundada: Tiassui River
Floresta Inundada means flooded forest in Portuguese. When we entered Floresta Inundada this was our view.
In this part of the forest, small rivers are the roads people use to go from their homes, often remote, to villages to get supplies, socialize and find entertainment. We even found a dance club at a dock in the middle of nowhere. So much for the myth of the "quiet forest"!
